There was a moment in the movie where I genuinely wondered if it was going to end up as a feel good movie, but no, that was just because the ticking timebomb that is Jessi (Selena Gomez) was out of frame for the moment, and Emilia was making a good-faith attempt at redemption.

While the movie has some terrible LGBT representation (who wants to claim ultra-violent drug lords for their community?) I loved the exploration of the question of what we can and can't change about ourselves.
