You are not that ignorant. Don't pretend that the flurry of bluesky posts after 10/7 claiming that Israel is an apartheid state and deserved what it got wasn't pro-hamas. So called Progressives have been at the forefront of hamas apologists.

People calling for ceasefire are pro-hamas regardless of whether they understand what they are saying. Hamas is still firing rockets and Israel should apologize.

I imagine it refers to the sort of progressives who called Hamas’ 10/7 attack “a historic win for the Palestinian resistance” or who said, re 10/7, “supporting Palestinian liberation is supporting whatever means necessary it takes to get there.”

Same here on all fronts. Maybe people hear that some far left folks support hamas, and think it must mean something more than some students, professors, and a smattering of not-irrelevant but not-powerful organizations. That’s my best guess.
