Translators almost never have the advantage of being THAT intimately familiar with the original text, becoming familiar enough to translate it IS the translation process. Whatever the AI spits out is just gonna be a HUGE distraction. 😨

This is it exactly! Becoming familiar with the text is an essential part of translation. It's what the first draft is for! So the AI garbage is necessarily in the way of a good translation.
