The government scrapped their plan to invest 28 billion in renewable energy, home insulation & public transport to enable the transition to a green future, yet they can find 22 billion to invest in CC which has been heavily lobbied for by the fossil fuel industry. Why is that? [2]

We do need some form of carbon capture to mitigate the hard to abate sectors of fossil fuel use. That could come from regeneration of our woodlands, peatlands & wetlands which are all carbon sinks. This would also undo some of the damage done to our natural environment. [3]
