So far this swings between West Coast sounding small group jazz ala Shorty Rogers & Latin grooves ala Cal Tjader. And on the opening track, "Bula," Mr. Zarzosa tosses in a Monk-like ploink down the keyboard which felt perfect. Again, I don't know anything about Chucho but I'm enjoying this a bunch.
