I think you’ve both got it. My issue with Daniel (the board are just there to agree with him, although they pull strings subtly - which is why we need proper governance) is that he doesn’t have the winning football mentality (and certainly not knowledge) to take the club to the top. 1/2

Indeed. It's like that quote (can't recall source) about when Sugar and Dein were in charge and the latter waking up, looking in the mirror and the first thing he says to himself is 'how can I make a winning team?' Spurs simply haven't had that priority.

2/2 Add this to an arrogance, hubris and utter lack of empathy or basic decency when dealing with people and you have a good idea of why this club is so dysfunctional. And why no buyers are stepping forward.
