In Oxfordshire I can go into Marylebone or Paddington; Marylebone is closer to where I live, but as you know Chiltern tickets are often more expensive for a slower journey, and their advantage comes from avoiding Oxford city centre.

It does highlight the bizarreness of our train system. CrossCountry always work out expensive for me, so my visits to Oxford and Reading have been more expensive than any London ones.
