Looking forward to hearing it!

Thanks, Stan! And I love that you do a million different things all so well. (I'd feel like a one-trick pony in comparison, except ponies are fast.) Keep up the good work.

I like this, Stan! It's a side of you I haven't heard before. As far as the voices go, they're pretty good, and would be adequate for my purposes. I wouldn't think they're real people singing, but they represent singing well enough to make the imaginative leap needed.

Wow Stan, that’s a very generous offer! I remember you did a convincing mockup of your Requiem, but I think that involved actually singing all the parts? That’s far too labor-intensive! Especially as this is a WIP that will keep changing.

I posted a thread over on mastodon this morning about what I’ve learned so far: mainly that choral music has wildly different connotations for me than for the typical target customer for this kind of thing. musicians.today/@mcmullin/11...

But this project is so large and slow going that a live performance or a proper recording would be a long way off, if they ever happen at all, and in the meantime it would be helpful to have something to give people who ask what this sounds like. Advice is welcome, and much appreciated!

I’ve used notation programs with MIDI playback for 20 years now, but I never cared how bad it sounded, because I only use it to check my work. The notated score is my finished product, and real performances are the goal.

“Live 11 hours no ads”? I’d want to live more than 11 hours, please, ads or not.

Not knowing the song or the album, I can’t say whether the apostrophe belongs without knowing what he meant. Does he let someone get killed?

I’ve lived in the (U.S.) Northeast all my life and I sometimes say “y’all.” It’s just a useful word the language needs. But because it doesn’t fit my dialect, I realize it sounds a little jokey coming from me, so I avoid it when that wouldn’t be okay.
