That is possible, but I think its more likely Microsoft would try to focus on their AppV efforts, similar to their Windows 365 Cloud PC projects. They manage the Windows instance, and the apps just run on the Linux desktop
I can understand Apple trying to curate the experience, but surely it must have occurred to someone to all apps to opt in as photo providers, and for Apple to make it an extension point.
I can't shake the thought, its not a £999 worth of new for me. The £899 iPhone feels like a better buy, and will retain value better when it comes time to change again in 2025...

It finally arrived the next day, despite the person I spoke to on the telephone that morning saying it wouldn't. There also seems to be an approx 3 hour delay between things being scanned, and the website tracking being updated. This doesn't help customer service or customers
