This has been the Republican strategy for the entirety of my adult life. Keep it close enough to game the system. Keep it close enough to cheat. Keep it close enough to steal. This is how they continue to govern with less than majority support.

A conservative group is placing ballot-sized official-looking return envelopes in people's mailboxes. The envelopes are addressed to The Presidential Coalition in Washington DC, run by former Trump deputy campaign manager David Bossie.

This violent police assault on Tyron McAlpin has made national and international news. Disability rights groups, the NAACP, the ACLU are all calling for charges against McAlpin to be dropped, yet Mayor Kate Gallego and all the Phoenix city councilmembers still remain silent. Beyond shameful.

Look, I'm still furious at Lorne Michaels for helping That Man get elected, and the show today is at best toothless, but I've watched SATURDAY NIGHT twice and dammit it's a great movie. The "girl in a bodega" speech and the ice rink scene spoke to my restless romantic spirit.

So I just heard a review of the new thriller IT'S WHAT'S INSIDE and apparently this is a live action ripoff of "The Tick vs. Science". No word on whether any of the characters can taste their own backs.

So, it looks like this (MAGA) sheriff made up the “intent to assassinate” angle, & it’s likely that the guy who was arrested was just a right-wing gun nut who thought it was a-ok to bring a bunch of guns to a Trump rally. The media haven’t learned not to automatically take cops’ words as fact.
