trying to remind myself that i'm doing the work of setting things up for my future self: working on long-term projects, getting in shape, etc. and maybe one of those things will pay off. or maybe none of them will and i'll get hit by a car at my peak physical fitness

there are no guarantees in this life! so you should watch a lot of movies and smoke a lot of weed while you can

I used to worry about having so many things I wish I started years ago, because it means that years from now I'll regret not starting a bunch of things today. Then I realized I've never once regretted taking a nap or playing videogames, so everything will be fine!

I think it’ll pay off. I got a good feeling about it.

To be fair, if you get hit by a car at peak fitness, there's probably a significantly better chance of coming out of it okay after.
