I’m taking this with a huge grain of salt given the inclusion criteria of “keywords in the title.” There appear to be a number of articles that don’t meet their inclusion criteria and do what this review says is absent in the literature.

I feel like Graeber recognises the reproductive/care labor society requires much more than the fully automated laxury communism people do. I’d be eager to read something on what reproductive labor looks like in a fully automated future.

Agree that Marx didn’t do the dishes, but would Graeber call doing the dishes a bullshit job? (if you don’t have a dishwasher) — that doesn’t fit the definition I think of. Improving pedagogy is great, if it works. I think a better example is the work “required” for regular merit evaluations.

1) Will hugely increase burden, to a degree that makes effective lawmaking much more difficult, 2) For environmental law, there haven’t been many significant Federal laws in 30 years and unlikely to be any in the next 10 years, so undoing existing agency regs is what matters most.

I’ll be focusing on general economic wellbeing/crisez and/or agriculture in industrialized countries. I think Zac focuses on housing and urban infrastructure. I think Leigh Johnson has done work on climate insurance and agricultuee in developing countries.

I’m starting, combining a regulation approach to asset economy/valuation studies + STSy politics of climate risk knowledge. @zacjtaylor.bsky.social does great work on geographies of insurance, climate, and capitalism.

Kind of, but my understanding is that when the UCs shifted from 12 months to 9 month contracts the 9 month salary level stagnated, which was the system effectively using the change in contract terms to slow salary growth for new faculty (and the 9 month salaries grew slower than the CoL.)

Judges in Indiana shouldn’t have jurisdiction to rule on tacos or burritos.

Maybe, but… There are many situations (in the US at least) where the political power of the police mean the tail winds up wagging the dog, and some situations where the cops and the govt leadership are the same people (NYC).
