Wow. California's insurer of last resort now has $393 billion in total risk exposure—up 38% from last year. Insurers are pulling out of the state en masse.
Florida's insurer of last resort currently has $525 billion in exposure. The trend seems to be downward as the state has tried offloading many of these plans to small insurers. www.citizensfla.com/-/20240131-p...
