2. Bringing Out the Dead. Still one of my very favorite films. Hugely underrated. It's also in competition with Moby-Dick for my favorite book. I do think I like the book better than the movie a bit, but it's still one of my very favorite films.

3. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. This movie affected me so much as a young man in and out of love. Such a beautiful film, one that destroyed me every time--but in a good way. Its core statement was profound for me back then.
