I liked the book and watched the film ‘The Way Back’ quite a few times. Perhaps it didn’t happen to the author himself but there appears to be enough of an essential truth to the story to not dismiss it completely. An incredible tale of survival and endurance.

If you know me then you know I want to read every single word that has ever been written about Lt Col Anderson and this was the primary reason why I bought this book. It is, however, a gorgeous book which tells the stories of many men from different generations who were incredibly brave in battle.

I finished ‘Blood Brothers’ this morning. I didn’t find the time to read more than a few chapters on my recent trip but once I got home I couldn’t put it down. It was truly excellent and I highly recommend it. I look forward to a return to Borneo and this author sometime in the future. #histbookchat
