I got extra credit during my Econ A Level because I was able to present about micro-lending. Thanks Kiva!
Pizzamas!! I've very much enjoyed confusing people with my Pizza John Eras t-shirt over the year.
Super insightful! Definitely worth a listen. I was particularly interested in the discussion around teaching stats to EAL - something we found really tough. Do you have any resources/strategies to help? Was there anything else you wish you had said in the interview?
Can someone help me navigate this website? How do I make sure my posts are showing up in certain feeds? Do I have to make sure that I use the relevant hashtags like #UKMathsChat? Because I see plenty of other posts showing up in the feed sans hashtag. Writing this out has made me feel so old...
We absolutely all need to take the time to fill this out! I know it's a busy time of the year but this is our chance to be heard! Might be a good thing to chat about in a department meeting, I know I'll definitely be talking to colleagues about it.
And we’re off! The call for evidence for the curriculum and assessment review is now open, and will be for 8 weeks. As @beckyfrancis.bsky.social says, this is the chance for a national conversation. Excited to hear the diverse views, insights and expertise of all. www.gov.uk/government/c...
We're inviting people to share their ideas for potential improvements to the school curriculum and assessment system in England.
It's not even been a month since the year started!
I would like to read this too!
Yep no worries!
You can access them on teachcambridge.org with a login from your exams officer (don't need to teach OCR maths, just need to be an OCR centre for any subject). If you need them straight away you can dm me your email and I'll send them over :)
Not the original poster but for number 1 I think of things like no timetabling issues, having plenty of notice for things like drop down days - which are well planned and run smoothly. Adequate support staff to help handle things like cover and reprographics.
