I try to read a variety of writers, some of whom I may not always agree with. I see no reason to read someone printing lies in the newspaper in an attempt to make their actual views more palatable to the NYT audience.

Disagreeing is fine. For the most part, disagreeing stupidly is for the Times opinion section. The reason people read that if they disagree with it is to feel better than the writer. Kind of like junk food, easy and pleasurable, but not very good for you. Better not to eat it.

It's extremely funny how much people pretend that everyone has to read opinions they disagree with without any curation. But when you check, they always just read the stuff they agree with and none of them pays money to the substack of a maoist calling for death to all americans.
