+1 I've always told my kid my #1 job is to keep him safe, #2 is to keep him healthy, and when I have to say no or make him do something he doesn't like it's almost certainly for one of those reasons.

It's been 12 years since my mom told us my dad's oncologist said "I think it would be good if your children were here," which is probably why—even though I've had a perfectly reasonable day—I feel sick. This is not the year October 16 doesn't mess with me. 🫥

Car at my mom's building this morning with license plate 8-14-88. What are the odds it's a Leo in their mid 30s? 🙁 (Yeah I don't think so either.) Wish I knew a way to urge the Virginia DMV to recall and not reissue.
