There's a whole cottage industry selling replacement parts and upgrades for practically every model!

Got the parts in a few days ago, put everything together today, and it seems like it works great! Restored it and got it recognized as a 1TB iPod in iTunes. New battery isn't working though, gonna leave it charging overnight to see if it was just turbo-dead from the factory or if I need another.

I'm sure this'll get blown up immediately, but this is my instant read gut feeling.
