Got the parts in a few days ago, put everything together today, and it seems like it works great! Restored it and got it recognized as a 1TB iPod in iTunes. New battery isn't working though, gonna leave it charging overnight to see if it was just turbo-dead from the factory or if I need another.

I didn’t know the iPod could be updated! I have a few songs that are MP3’s on my laptop but now I can’t even play them.
