šŸ’Æ Same as ā€˜non-verbalā€™ and ā€˜pre-verbalā€™ usage. Slight changes to language have such an impact. I admit I didnā€™t give it much thought until I started working with the special sector a few years ago. We also use ā€˜first 20%ā€™ rather than ā€˜bottom 20%ā€™ in our Trust - transforms some conversations.

I always imagine someone being coached in a sport. Do you want them to say ā€˜these are your weaknessesā€™ or ā€˜these are the areas you can improveā€™.

One suggests its something that can get better, the other something more intrinsic and the fault of the person. Personally, I think it does matter.
