I wrote about a new Senate report into the FBI’s investigation of Brett Kavanaugh, and how the Trump White House worked to cover up sexual assault so that they could help ban abortion. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

The bureau shamefully allowed itself to be used as a prop in political theater, orchestrated by the Trump administration

And still Biden kept Wray in office. Dereliction of duty.

It's the same force and veneer of legitimacy that gave the Judiciary Committee 42,000 documents the day before his hearing.

Couldn't they have found a DIFFERENT conservative horror show who wasn't ALSO a rapist? Or are the GOP so broken that that wasn't possible?

Thank you for this article. I wasn't aware of the report from Sen. Whitehouse. I remember watching those hearings & being so angry for many reasons including when it seemed like the FBI investigation into Brett seemed like a sham. Well, what do ya know, it was. 🤬

I tried to articulate how Kavanaugh’s style of masculinity—boorish, drunken, exploitative, and needful of other men’s approving witness—is more like Trump’s than some of the Christian right types he also allies with. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

I really don't know if I'll ever get over this whole thing. Years later I still feel shattered.

I have some recollection that the charges that the FBI did not investigate have came up before, perhaps even during the confirmation hearings. Am I making this up?

This was obviously implicit.

Really appreciate how this article captures the sense of disgust and malaise I feel about all of this
