electrical wiring is 1) not moving, 2) made of much thicker strands, and 3) not doing anything that's sensitive to very small fluctuations in voltage of current, heh (and I unfortunately /have/ had an in-wall wire fail, in a ~30yo house - but yes, generally less common)

This apartment is a smidge over 100 years old, predating NYC electrification by about a decade. Every time we’ve had to open up a wall or ceiling it’s been a learning experience. Things you never want to see: an electrician saying “uh oh” and then coming back down the ladder in a hurry.
