i imagine bakugou gets really emotionally into music as a way to figure out his feelings. he struggles to word them properly but he can pick a key and chords and melody and tempo and instruments that match the vibe and he works it out from there. literally sounding it out
he doesn’t write lyrics all the time, he isn’t a singer by any means and often just the instrumentals do his thoughts justice. he isn’t even particularly trying to make anything sound good or stressing the details, for him making music is the equivalent of a diary
and oops going into their second year at ua bakugou has what’s pretty much a full length album with songs reflecting the development of his feelings about kirishima
