Vocally hating people but vocally loving their food seems like the return to traditional (plantation era) conservatism that we have been waiting for

it crushes me when misappropriation strips meaning from foreign words and recontextualizes them as some new slang... to incorporate "habari gani" or "as-salamu alaykum" into foreign languages doesnt immediately qualify it as slang, that's just how language works in multicultural societies.

but cube swerved towards capitalism, as informed by his time with the Nation of Islam and their motto of self-reliance & entrepreneurship... only there was no wealth to cube in "slinging bean pies", so he took his swag to the strip club.

not this one. and i can not embrace ANY philpsphical radicalism where black liberation from white supremacy isnt the first thing dripping from it's lips.

our politicians & educators can hardly call themselves "black" in public OR private forums without backlash WHAT RADICALISM IS THIS? we have been targeted for generations — failing to wholly grasp what "systemic" truly means. but this society is not for us. never has been. never will be. THIS one.

now we just seem to want more seats at the table of white imperialism while dreaming our increased presence will eventually tip the scales when capitalism (fascism's other tool) is 100% invested in preventing that from happening:

it continues to shape us. & we continue allowing it. in this "progressive era" black culture is as american as apple pie and is more a costume than a uniform for most of us. black radicalism used to demand farmland & the control of sea ports for foreign trade for self-sufficiency...

in this digital era, black mainstream news sources dwindled. no more legacy of Jet or Ebony mags in our households. no more meaningful black newspapers in every city (r.i.p. to the louisville defender). propaganda is fascism's greatest tool and we allowed it to reshape the face of our resistance.

the influence of black radicalism in our music, our art, our history, and in our media formats all began losing supporters on street-level organizers: no more white kids wanting to join the nation of islam (or basic islam) as promoted by so many rap artists. neo-soul became ridiculed as hotepism.
