The service on regular local routes today simply isn't sufficient. Overcrowding and passups are no longer just on Broadway in Vancouver. People are left behind by full buses in Castlegar, Kelowna, and Chilliwack.
"There are exciting things in all three platforms. We have strongly supported the SkyTrain extension to UBC and a provincial intercity bus network, and those are in the NDP platform. We remain worried that overcrowding has not been taken seriously in the NDP or Conservative platforms.
