The Secret History of Hollywood @moviehistories.bsky.social@audiojoe.bsky.social Shadows - The Val Lewton Story in particular is perfect. History, docudrama, analysis are all part of a well researched, well scripted, wonderfully acted & beautifully scored masterpiece. Melancholy & triumphant.
Dana do you know podcast The Secret History of Hollywood? I just discovered it! Seems pretty impressive. I've just begun their (lengthy & elaborate!) series on life & career of Val Lewton! 👍👍
If you've got any interest in old movies, The Secret History of Hollywood is superb. tbh it's good enough to get you interested even if you weren't already. Though some of the podcasts seem to have been moved behind a Patreon paywall since I listened to them.
