If cognition is the ability to do course correction, what is the process that specifies the target?

What is your best guidance on how to learn new information? Is this what happens in the classroom? If not is that ok?

I'm really looking forward to my ResearchEd talk on philosophy and education. I'm hoping there'll be lots of discussion. I'll try to show how philosophy is all about the frameworks and assumptions which underlie our debates and theories, and some methods for interrogating them. Please RT!
