Just read this, is some of the wording a bit dodgy, I'm really intrigued but wondering if the geography/science is correct? @geogviz.bsky.social any thoughts?

It all sounds plausible enough in principle (the key would be to demonstrate that what is possible is probable through the body of evidence). But isostatic change happens because the mantle is ductile & can flow in response to increases or decreases of the weight of the lithosphere above.

In what way do you think it’s dodgy? If the sediment eroded is being transported away then there would be no reason to assume it’s not. Same principle as glacial rebound in the UK.
