Times tables are a big issue. They can’t identify a common factor. I think some work on divisibility rules would be of benefit, in addition to drilling times tables.
#MathsToday with a very weak group doing FDP conversions. Today we are isolating this skill of connecting decimal place value with fractions. They are not proficient with simplifying yet, so that bit will come later.
September is the one month of the year I rarely attempt to read for pleasure, for the reasons you describe! Hopefully as we head towards October I will start to feel mentally “ready” for something besides school. The book waiting patiently on my bedside table is Shuggie Bain.

For #WeeklyWins I’m going to go with it being Week 4 and my classroom still being as tidy & organised as Day 1. I’m being more ruthless in disposing of old worksheets etc in order to keep it that way, but I have hoarder tendencies, so I have a constant inner battle!
