Can we circle back to the part where JD Vance whined that the debate rules explicitly allowed him to lie with impunity after the moderators gently fact-checked *just one* of his many racist comments?

Just so everyone knows, the "mass deportations will bring down high housing costs" is a soft eugenics argument that comes directly from the Tanton network. It's an old chestnut of theirs, just like saying that undocumented people take care away from veterans. It's all bullshit

"Memory, prophecy and fantasy - the past, the present and the dreaming moment between - are all one country, living one immortal day. To know that is wisdom. To use it is the Art." - Clive Barker, The Great and Secret Show Nothing in fiction has ever spoken to me more than this.

And it turns out one of the highest grade quartz mines in the world got hit by Helene. Super duper. You remember the early pandemic struggle over the lack of microchips ramping up the cost of everything from cars to appliances? Yeah. That. Again.

A tiny town just got slammed by Helene. It could massively disrupt the tech industry

Apropos *gestures at the world* I am constantly reminded that the burning question on billionaires’ brains is “after the world is reduced to a smoking husk by our own actions, how do we keep our security team loyal to us once money no longer has meaning?”

Tech billionaires are buying up luxurious bunkers to survive a societal collapse they helped create, but like everything they do, it has unintended consequences

I will never in my life compute this idea that environmentalists are psychotically opposed to the construction of literally anything. If they were, why would they have spent the past three decades being the chief advocates of policies to incentivise vast volumes of industrial scale wind and solar
