Every few months we get another article where it's reported John Roberts doesn't understand why everyone is mad at him for ruling that it's okay for oil companies to strangle bald eagles, like he has no choice but to follow the law, when in every case they're throwing out 80 years of precedent.
Was it an 600 year old precedent from another country that got cited once, instead of the ones from last century in the United States?
originalists on the Roberts court pointing out that the constitutionally approved way to dispose of the "verminous byrde" was to drown it in tar - but since the world has moved on, crude oil is an acceptable equivalent
It' used to be embarrassing to be a dumbass. Like openly admitting you didn't understand something super obvious would by a humiliation. Republicans go out there acting like they are that guy from momento and they can't remember past 15 mins ago
All Roberts would have to do for people to not get mad at the court would be to do what he swore to do in his confirmation hearing (lol) and follow long-established precedent instead of shredding up on behalf of Bubba Billionaire III's lead pipe conglomerate.
Just callin' balls and strikes
He's just calling balls and strikes, man.
I would be mortified if I were John Roberts seeing these pieces written about me because it would suggest that I am very stupid
He decreed half of the Voting Rights Act didn't matter anymore and is wondering what all the hubbub is about
He knows one day he'll be in the nursing home from hell.
It's not enough to be rich and powerful, they also need to be loved.
