How do you feel about raising this with them / calling them out (when you have recovered)? I’m guessing it must be tiring / exhausting to have to go through this with people…
That’s really bad - sounds like a horrible experience. I don’t know why they did that, but it might be thoughtless on their part. (Thinking of deaf friends I know who advocate for themselves and tell others what they need to do to help communication, only for them to forget at the next occasion.)

Sounds like it could have been better. But also could have been worse! OTs can be fantastic - but not what you were expecting. Hope you can rest and recover from the experience.
