Lurking here for a bit as the ex-bird needs my date of birth, and I'm not sure if I want to share that there... 🙁

Ganked from reddit

A picture of Dave Brubeck in a tuxedo sitting at a piano keyboard playing the piano and smiling at the camera. The caption reads SORRY, NERDS 5/4 IS DAVE BRUBECK DAY

We don't have a thriving #ActuallyAutistic community here? Now that won't do. Time to get the party started. I mean, of course, the kind of party where we all share silence happily together, enjoying The Vibes. 😊

“Wales has become the first country in the world to map its most important areas for insects, conservationists say.” Good to see the Wye Valley on there 😊 bbc.in/489bs3a

Also loved this ivy leaved toadflax which is spreading itself over a path.

Ivy-like leaves on a smaller scale with pale purple flowers that are somewhere between a violet and a legume (sort of).

Not feeling fantastic today. Forced myself out for a stroll in the garden. Enjoyed these flowers - will soon be gone with the frost so making the most of them for now.

A mix of large pink hydrangea heads with dead heads from last year
Daisy-like flower with a yellow centre and creamy petals. Not sure what this is - I planted lots of mixed flowers for pollinators.
Very bright yellow and orange marigolds.
Very surprised to see this delicate white sweet William flower just starting to open

Saw this fruit tree covered in mistletoe today in what appears to be a small orchard near Glastonbury. There’s an interesting map from the 1990s showing distribution of mistletoe in England and Wales: www.surveys.mistletoe.org.uk/index.html 1/2

Fruit tree in an orchard. Most of the leaves have fallen off the tree but it is still green as has a lot of mistletoe growing on the branches.

Earlier this year, I wrote for @TIME on the critical need to reimagine Autism Research and Research Methods - so that we can get closer to translatable solutions that benefits the entire spectrum. time.com/6299599/auti...#publicvoices#Autism

If we want to truly understand autism, we must expand the zone of the researchable autistic, writes Hari Srinivasan.

I’ve not been very well lately so it was great to finally get out for a tramp up the hill through some local woodland.

Looking up to the woodland canopy - pine trees against a blue sky.
A view across woodland to the Brecon Beacons in the misty distance.
A white mushroom (not sure of the species) on the woodland floor among ivy leaves.
Animal hoof print in sticky mud - a deer of some kind.
