The lowest of the low are those who complain about character creation options they'll never personally use, and it's sad to see this emerge suddenly in recent times. The whining about the inclusion of things like top surgery scars in a game where your character can be bright purple.

Just to be clear, it's perfectly valid to feel underrepresented in media. This is different from the toxic notion that groups different to oneself are *somehow* "unrealistic" or "forced" or "an attack".

"Wah, the main character doesn't look like me!" *Developer adds character customisation options* "Wah, the character creation has pronouns, body type instead of gender and vitiligo options!"

I really liked the idea of the force being this cruel entity that controlled people through traditions, and breaking away from that control being just short of impossible. Plus I wanted to see Finn, a non-force user, fight against space magic with grit and technology. But Palpatine.

Not to mention MCU sequels: Last Movie: "I'm giving up superhero life, I've found peace, completed myself. I have overcome the greatest challenges life has to offer, more than anyone could've ever known. Goodbye." Next Movie: "Okay, I'm back and the same character you've always loved!"

I can't help but think of the Star Wars sequels: VII: Let's flip a lot of things on their heads and explore new aspects of things that were previously unchallenged. VIII & IX: Wait wait wait, no, come back, it's everything you've ever known, again.

A point that bears repeating: Fandoms do not know what they want. Fandoms would rather have the comfort of familiarity rather than media that takes risks, resulting in the repetitive formulaic goo that plays it safe. Focus groups kill innovation under the assumption that people are idiots.

Moments when Abye literally told a videogame to "calm down".

I think Dino Crisis 2 is pretty awesome though. I would love to see more fast paced horror titles where it's pushing something scary back inbetween brief moments of rest. Sort of like the Aliens movie.

What makes it funnier is that Dino Crisis was essentially a polished Resident Evil, which became more of an arcade game in the sequel. So the thing went full circle in a way that annoyed people who hated what Dino Crisis 2 had become.
