just a reminder that in france people want between 2 and 3 children on average. end up having between 0 and 2. there is no lack of people wanting a family, there is lack of social structures and finances to allow them to have those. hot take : having children shouldn't be a financial decision.

also to be completely honest : i wanted 3 kids when i was younger. now it's down to one and our financial situation is the biggest issue with our envy to have a kid. for me the state/community should be the one providing every finances and services needed to raise a child.
