Louisiana State’s Robert T. Mann Jr. previously clashed with Jeff Landry, the state’s newly elected Republican governor. Mann says he fears his presence could make LSU a lightning rod.

Years ago, to amuse my coauthor I’d written “It was a dark and stormy night” in the first line of a paper. Co-author didn’t notice and submitted as is to a conference. 📈📉
