Too damn many people on the left side of American politics have things backwards when it comes to making demands of politicians, especially in a general election environment.
People say stuff like "Trump couldn't be worse for the situation in Gaza than the current administration..." and all I can think is man, you somehow still don't understand how reckless that guy is. I wouldn't be surprised to see a President Trump ordering the USAF to help the IDF "finish the job."
So the mayor of LA (who people keep saying is a staunch progressive democrat) has decided that the best person to make LAPD chief is the former republican sheriff of LA county, who we decided to replace after 1 term… I mean, obviously.
