Yes, earth will get a temporary second moon in a couple of days. Here is a real picture of the moon and my artist's rendition of Asteroid 2024 PT5. It's in the very center of the circle taking up about 0.003 pixels. I'd ask you to zoom in but you can't. Full moon is from May 2024. #Astronomy 🧪🔭
A sensor with three thousandths of a pixel resolution would have very low quantum efficiency. 😏
