You're the reader, you can pronounce the names how you like.

I have butchered so many names and words in books in my time, I have done it so badly with your books that I would not be shocked if an altar was raised to me by one of your silliest characters.

Unless you are reading out loud to a kid and your husband and you take turns and he does them differently. Then you will hear all about how you are wrong some someone you gave literal birth to.

What is your position on Van Gogh? I was embarrassed when I first heard a Dutch person say the name, but then I decided to relax and not worry about it. Verbalization is for communication, so if “the right way” is unintelligible to your audience, it is wrong.
