Minimum viable action: what I do when I feel 'blocked'. I ask myself: Can you write 500 words? No. Can you write 50 words? Maybe. Can you write 5? Yes. But invariably when I sit down to write 5, I never get less than 100 words. I do this every hour, until I feel normal again or the next day.

Ah British trainsā€¦ yesterday took 9 hours to get 2 hours away from London due to cancellations etc. Today our rail replacement bus got lost so we missed the connecting train home. Nothing is open. I really miss Chinese trains! šŸš‚

Yā€™ALL. Someone on the other site tried to make a Minionā„¢ pizza and I cannot stop laughing; weā€™ve allllll had things go wrong in the kitchen, but this is a pretty vivid example... šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£

Pizza dough laid out in a Minion shape. So far so goodā€¦
The finished, but uncooked pie, cheese and pepperoni forming the minion itself and its coverall, a slice of mushroom and black olive for the eyesā€” it looks okay!
The cooked pie which has just dissolved into a blorp of cheese and haphazardly scattered toppings, resembling a Minion that was locked in the sarcophagus at Chernobyl.

Just realised this week marks the 20th anniversary of me starting my MSc at NHM London. And I'm still here! And I still love it ā¤ļø (I did spend 10 years in other places around the world in the middle). As is tradition, here's a picture of me looking adoringly at something (a tenrec) in a jar.

Me in a flowery top standing in front of an open cupboard full of jars, pointing lovingly at a tenrec in a jar as another person (Connor), also in a foliage themed shirt, looks suitably impressed.

They paid me more money than I had ever seen to write a sequel to a film that did not need one. I took the check and spent it on beers to get me drunk enough to plow through this crap.

I looked at the final script, which took a whopping 2 days to write, and said "wow, now that's a piece of shit." And it was.

I had faith in Rick Rosenthal and he did not deliver. I suppose I expected him to be a miracle worker and nobody could've made this work. I don't regret hiring him.

Embarrising. I had not a single clue what I was doing.

It's funny to think I thought a limosine would pick me up and take me to my first studio set after the world saw this movie. That never happened. I almost gave up and moved back home to Kentucky but I refused to let the world kick me down. Kinda.

People tell me they really like this one and I tell them they're crazy.

Hopefully your feature debut will be better than this. Won't be hard.

Everyone who made this should take a coma- inducing dose of LSD, stare at themselves in a mirror, and wait for their faces to morph into the hideous monsters they truly are.
