A Republican state senator in North Carolina is pleading for an end to right-wing conspiracy theories about Hurricane Helene recovery efforts
State Sen. Kevin Corbin calls out âconspiracy theory junkâ about unburied bodies and FEMA stealing money.

there is a human being who works at the NYT and the Washington Post who makes these choices. The same human being who covered the front pages in a drumbeat of "Biden's mental fitness" coverage after the first debate. Who are they? What is their motivation? Why do they act in this way? Who benefits?
"In a previous era, Jack Smithâs newly unsealed brief would generate Watergate-level coverage. These days, though, the new details about Trump's frantic efforts to steal the election had already rolled off the top of the NYT and Washington Post homepages by Thursday morning."

A school district in Pennsylvania approved nearly $9,000 âto cut windows into the âgender-identityâ student bathrooms so passerby can look insideâ
These adults want to make it easier for other people to watch your children while theyâre in the bathroom. Itâs absolutely mind-boggling.
Resharing this @whstancil.bsky.social post from Twitter bc it's exactly right. We treat it as normal because the people whose job it is to warn of us things have decided it's normal
If youâd actually been paying any attention to FEMA before now, youâd also know that the agency is facing a major budget shortfall, courtesy of the usual loathsome GOP lawmakers in Congress. thehill.com/business/bud...
