super hot nuclear take but i think steam legitimately need to either change or straight up remove the steam curator system because it's embarrassing how 99.9% of steam curators lately have been nothing but the same cookie cutter garbage "ERR IS LE GAME.....LE WOKE????" curators over the past year
I don't think it's about the curator system, it's more about better moderation. I understand the point of "yeah maybe they should kill it if it got to this point" and tbh curators on Steam barely do stuff for most users, so nothing will be missed.
it's a cool idea and i still follow 1 or 2 that i like seeing, but it's completely disposable at this point and feels forgotten by valve
used to be good ones identifying shit ports and games with framerate locks but after TB died they all just kind of stopped
Agree there's too many shitty ones and Steam would do well to get rid, but there are a few legit great ones that highlight loads of gems such as @dominictarason.bsky.social, it's well worth a look!
