First layer down with no issues. I am pleased with the uncleaned mat that is in place. I do need to clean said mat. It has been in place for quite the while and I've been using the glue stick to reinforce the sticky areas of the print for too long. Clean and resticky seems to be in the cards.

Oh lordy... if only there was an achievement for 'Most Reloads during the Prologue' achievement...

Well, I'm done. Have completed everything I wanted to. Like I said above, it was easy. Don't know why it took three and a half hours to get it all done. Picked up a couple rather nice alcohols as a treat. These are the bottles that only get broken out for special events. Oh, and a box of wine.

Charged up and working. Good sound quality, good noise cancellation. Going to have to test them tomorrow in a noisier enviroment. So far though, I'm liking them. I'll let you know once I've used them for a while.

They are, however, not great quality. The current set loses about 50% volume levels when the mic goes live. The super old set was even worse. Doesn't mean they don't work, but I also want something noise cancelling which neither of these do. Hopefully they arrive tonight.

All back together now, no leaks that I can detect, and the 'cleaning' cycle ran twice so I know the hose connections are solid. Pump sounds a touch growly, but it's a magnetic impeller drive and I have no food safe lubricant for the center pole. I'll keep an ear on it. *shudder* So nasty.

Needless to say, it was scrubbed, soaped, scrubbed again, vinegared, scrubbed a third time, then rinsed in the hottest water I can get out of the tap. I also cleaned every part of the pump and upper nozzle. I'm still shuddering. From the first pass of the straw brush... just ew.

Good news! It still makes ice! I didn't break anything! Honestly, I needed a win like that. Been a bit since I've torn something down like that, cleaned/upgraded it and then had it work on reassembly.

There was black flecks gathering in the water basin even a day after cleaning, so I knew something was wrong. At least it wasn't difficult to get it broken down. It's been scrubbed and now I wait an hour before turning it on again to let the compressor settle. I ran a cleaning cycle, no leaks.

Ok, I'm full of food and I actually feel better. Hopefully this will continue into tomorrow. I actually do want to get the work done, I just keep being lazy. Hopefully tomorrow I'll have the energy to get outside. There isn't a lot left before I can start to reconnect the electricals.
