Nothing like skimming through the chapter titles of the three-volume Cambridge World History of Genocide to make you despair of humanity [also, free Palestine]

I agree with Nigel Farage. Absolutely disgraceful and unpatriotic that Nike should change the colour of the flag. They should be ditched and, ideally, bankrupted.

"A Motorola technician assured me the only reason Motorola persisted making flip phones for so long wasn't to extend the device from ear to mouth but (genuinely) because someone high up at the company was a Star Trek fan." [Autosave is for Wimps] autosaveisforwimps.substack.com/p/why-are-yo...

Somewhere Better

4 panel comic by War and Peas. 1. Panel: A kid asks his mom, "Mommy, where's Daddy?" 2. The mom looks down from the newspaper and says, "He's gone to a better place." 3. A beach. Someone is sitting in a deck chair sunbathing. Two attractive people are waving fresh air with palm fronds. 4. The man in the deck chair thinks, "This really IS better."

How is completely cancelling the service "better focusing" or "in the interests of our members"? Driving value? And no clear reason: "reflects our commitment to driving value. Golding doesn't know his history clearly. OH's grandfather found out the hard way that WWI would be over by Christmas 1914, a Warwickshire postman, he lies in a grave in St Sever Extension Rouen next to Ali Akbar a Sowar with the Indian Cavalry. The Indian army saved the allies in that winter.
