Yeah, for a game with such a ridiculously short dev time, it had a lot of ambition, and I wish the series had built more on those ideas. DA2 gives me such a strong idea of who Hawke is compared to the other DA games or BG3.
It's an imperfect game, but I appreciate Dragon Age 2 had a rivalry option. In theory, you could strengthen your relationships by challenging and calling your party members out on their hypocrisy and bullshit. In practice, it had the same problems as any systematized approach to relationships does
There are too many confounding factors that you can't interpret from the data. Solicitations, budget, reading process. There's a real danger in getting obsessed with data without the tools to actually interpret it.
