It's an imperfect game, but I appreciate Dragon Age 2 had a rivalry option. In theory, you could strengthen your relationships by challenging and calling your party members out on their hypocrisy and bullshit. In practice, it had the same problems as any systematized approach to relationships does

One of the reasons I love DA2. As you say: imperfect. But it had vision. & the characters! I wanted to see what happened to those people. Origins and Inquisition didn't carry me nearly as well.
