But in the backs of their minds, wherever that constant hunger for a race war lurks, they always want to re-litigate Haiti. So they're targeting that immigrant population very deliberately. They think everyone is as scared of Haitian people as they are. And they want white Americans scared.

Scared white people vote racist. That's all this "eating pets" bullshit is about. And if people -- Haitians, Aidan Clark's family -- get lynched, even better in their book. They think everyone shares their sadism, too.

my only argument is that most Americans are too uneducated to fear Haitians specifically. But I'd believe it of whichever group is constructing the narrative for the others to parrot
