Went to an incredible, rollicking show by The Tan and Sober Gentlemen last night. Absolutely loved their bluegrass punk/traditional Irish vibe. My first live music experience since before the pandemic and I couldn't think of a better way to jump back in. 10/10

Hey, all! Yale is bringing me in for a panel event on "writing about climate change," sponsored by a ton of departments--as well as visits with students. Mark your calendar for the public event. April 25.

I’m glad Angry Robot has reconsidered their use of an AI submissions manager…for now. I hope they’ll understand *why* their community was so against this—that submissions being used to train AI is just *one* of many concerns, and this wasn’t a good idea just because Storywise say they don’t do that.

Starbucks Muppet Cookies (2003-2003): Seemingly unrelated to any Muppets project, Starbucks began selling frosted sugar cookies shaped like several Muppet characters. They vanished almost as quickly as they arrived.

This. And I would add courage to this. It takes courage to not react violently. It's not "manly" or brave to be unable or unwilling to exercise restraint when it's called for. Humility and wisdom are closely related. Humility is being secure in your actions without having to prove yourself.
