You wouldn't happen to be willing to share some introductory resources on that topic (what is "the West" throughout history), would you? It's coincidentally relevant to a project I'm helping with, and I'm a product of those sadly limited US-centric history classes, so I don't know where to start.
We're watching this happen in real time at our company, and the writing is on the wall that we'll be replaced. I think it's important for editors to keep up with AI/LLM and understand its capabilities and its many, many failings, so that we can more accurately compete with it. But as for using AI:
there that are supposed to be "ethical" and aren't as resource hungry. But most of those tools are not ones that are easily available or the ones that are shoved into Adobe, Microsoft, Google, etc. products. I don't need to know how to use a motorcycle to know that I don't want to have one. 2/2
